The UNAIDS Reference Group held a meeting on Thematic meeting on “Technical Updates and Method Development for the UNAIDS Estimates” at the Georgia Tech Hotel & Conference Center, Atlanta, on Friday 1st June 2018.
The purpose of this meeting was to provide technical recommendations for updates to Spectrum 2018 (and accompanying incidence estimation tools), which are used by countries to generate estimates of HIV, as part of the UNAIDS Global Estimates, and to discuss approaches for estimation the HIV Care Cascade indicators (90-90-90).
The program was divided into the following sessions:
- Review of 2018 UNAIDS Estimates
- Spectrum Updates
- EPP and CSAVR Recommendations and Implementation
- Estimating ART coverage and HIV care-cascade indicators
