The purpose of this meeting was to provide technical recommendations for updates to Spectrum 2016 which is used by countries to generate estimates of HIV as part of the UNAIDS Global Estimates. The key areas of focus included:
- Key updates for EPP/Spectrum
- Use of case-report and morality data to generate estimates
- Use of programme service data to inform estimates
- Spatially-specific estimates
Recommendations were produced for updates in EPP and AIM in Spectrum and for further research and method development.
