The purpose of this meeting was to review and discussion of current issues around generating estimates in concentrated epidemics as part of the UNAIDS estimation process with a particular focus on issues identified in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, and to review and discuss the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) modelling approaches for generating national level estimates within this region and the potential application of these approaches in other regions.
